AUGUSTA, Ga. - Shannon Pallardy and Mandy Rupert took home PBC All-Conference honors as the pair was selected to the eight-member team as announced by the league office on Thursday evening. Pallardy and Rupert were joined by Lauren Good and Traci Knuth of Armstrong Atlantic State, Jessica Bartlett and Lezlie Logan of Francis Marion, and Rachel Dalitz and Mandy Gerolstein of USC Aiken to to round out the squad.
Pallardy has enjoyed a solid senior season, leading the Spartans and the PBC in assists (1,173) and assists per game (10.47) while making her first All-Conference team. The LaCrosse, WI native is third on USC Upstate's career list in assists with 2,858. Pallardy has also earned the PBC Specialist of the Week honor twice during the 2005 season.
Rupert has been simply stellar in her junior campaign. The League City, TX native leads the squad and PBC in kills (492), kills per game (4.47), and aces (69) while also recording 16 double-doubles on the year. Rupert also ranks in the PBC Top 10 in hitting percentage (.269) and digs per game (3.43). This season, she became only the fourth player in USC Upstate volleyball history to have record 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career. Currently, Rupert ranks second at USC Upstate in career attacks (3,278), third in kills (1,232), and third in aces (179). Rupert is now a two-time PBC All-Conference selection, earning the honor in 2004. In addition, she was named the PBC's co-Freshman of the Year in 2003.
The All-Conference team is listed below as selected by the seven PBC head coaches. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players.
