USC Upstate's women's athletics' teams reach out to local youths with a free sports clinic.

The Spartans celebrated National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Feb. 2

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The USC Upstate athletic department celebrated its first National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Saturday, hosting a free sports clinic featuring the women's cheerleading, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field and volleyball teams. The participants then watched the Upstate women's basketball game and participated in a halftime poster contest. Afterwards, the women's basketball team signed autographs for the Spartans.
