2009: Was a key role player for the Spartans, serving as a pinch runner and bullpen catcher... played in 16 games on the year... started once... did not collect a hit in two at-bats... scored four runs on the season... was perfect behind the plate in two chances... scored a run in the 7-4 victory over Furman (March 18)... crossed the plate in Upstate's 6-2 win over Campbell (March 20)... added a run in the 4-1 victory over Jacksonville (April 17)... scored the winning run in the 2-1 win at Mercer (April 25)... a member of the A-Sun All-Academic team.

High School: A five-year letterwinner at Hillcrest High School... has been a starter and team captain at catcher for four years... helped lead Hillcrest to the 2004 4A state championship and was a member of the team that won a state record 96 straight games... the 96 straight wins remains the third longest streak in the country... led Hillcrest to the 2007 region championship... finished the year with a .366 batting average, a .480 on-base percentage and six stolen bases.
