Walters State: Spent the last two seasons as a pitcher and offensive standout for the Senators... was 22-14 with 157 strikeouts in 219 1/3 innings pitched as a sophomore... tossed 30 complete games... led the Tennessee Junior and Community College Athletic Association (TJCCAA) in innings pitched and was fourth in strikeouts... hit .304 at the plate... ranked among the league leaders with 55 RBIs (second), 13 home runs (third), 48 runs (sixth), and a .592 slugging percentage (15th).

High School: Was a two-time All-State selection at Ashbrook High School... named the Big South Conference Player of the Year as a senior in 2005... finished her career with a 77-23 record... recorded 798 strikeouts in 638 innings pitched... had a 1.11 ERA with 30 shutouts... was also a standout offensively... hit .378 with 20 doubles, seven home runs and 82 RBIs.
