Anna Baker is in her second season as the assistant women's soccer coach at the University of South Carolina Upstate.

Baker came to USC Upstate after serving as the graduate assistant coach for women's soccer at UNC Pembroke from 2004-06. While at UNC Pembroke, she also worked as an instructor in the physical education department while earning her Master's Degree in Sports Administration.

In addition to her coaching stint at UNC Pembroke, Baker has been active in the coaching profession. She has served as the head coach of the U-14 girls soccer team for the Lumber River Soccer Association since 2005 and led the squad to the 2005 Mid-State Soccer League championship. Previously, she was an intern working closely with the head soccer coach at Methodist College in 2004.

Baker was the head coach of the junior varsity girls' soccer team and the assistant coach of the varsity girls' soccer team at Fayetteville Christian High School and served as head coach of the Fayetteville Force U-13 club soccer team in 2004. She also has been an instructor at several soccer camps, including the camps at Methodist College, the University of Florida, and the Kernersville YMCA.

A member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, she holds an NSCAA Advanced National Coaching Diploma.

Baker was a 2004 graduate of Methodist College with a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management. She was a four-year starter in the midfield for Methodist's women's soccer team and earned co-Most Valuable Player honors in 2002. She was a four-time All-Conference selection and three-time Team Captain. She was an All-Region selection in 2002 and 2003, earned DIAC Player of the Year honors in 2001, and was the DIAC Rookie of the Year in 2000. She was selected to the DIAC All-Tournament Team in 2003.

Baker, from Kernersville, N.C., attended Glenn High School and was a four-year starter on the varsity girls soccer team. A four-time team MVP, she also earned four All-Conference honors and was named All-Region in 2000. She holds the school's career record for goals scored and also set the school's single-season goals scored mark. In addition to her high school career, she was a member of the Kernersville Soccer Association Premiere Select team in 1998 and 1999.
