Buies Creek, N.C. - USC Upstate's women's golf team opened the Fighting Camel Classic with a 337 and stands 12th out of 15 teams heading into Tuesday's final round at the 6,012-yard, par 72 Keith Hills Country Club No. 1 course.

Playing in its second tournament of the spring, Upstate is 10 strokes out of 10th and 16 out of fourth place. Campbell, the host of the tournament, leads the event with a 301 team total. Elon is second at 315 and is followed by Memphis (316), Kennesaw State (321), Illinois State (321), Gardner-Webb (322), James Madison (323), Georgetown (325), Wichita State (326), Florida Gulf Coast (327), Old Dominion (333), Upstate (337), Radford (339), Longwood (340) and High Point (350).

Audrey Church led Upstate, finishing the day with an 82. She is tied for 33rd individually. Richia Wedzik (T39) was the second lowest Spartan on the day, finishing with an 83. Richelle Wedzik (T56) added an 85, while Julie Miller and Jessica Wofford each shot an 87 and are tied for 62nd.

Campbell teammates Maite Ortiz dePinedo and Belen Diaz Cisneros each shot 74 Monday to take a share of the individual lead with Elon's Samantha Widmer. The tournament will conclude with 18 holes Tuesday.
