Spartanburg, SC - USC Upstate has named 16 individuals to the 2006-07 cheerleading squad after two rounds of tryouts in the spring and fall, released the athletic department Wednesday.

The 18 cheerleaders for the 2006-07 season are Felecia Black, Jonesha Cauthen, Lauren Collie, Mallory Collins, Kristin Cook, Bree Davis, Stephanie Gosnell, Carrie Harlow, Ashley Patterson, Holly Pridgen, Jocelyn Roper, Camille Sweatt, Allie Tyner, Kimberly Usery, Takara Watkins, and Ashleigh Wines.

Under the direction of head coach Kami Appleton and assistant coach Miguel Miranda, the Spartan Cheerleading squad is expected to compete in both Peach Belt Conference and national cheer competitions.
