SPARTANBURG, S.C. - After suffering an 89-63 loss to Belmont on Saturday afternoon, the USC Upstate women's basketball team will look to end its trip to the Music City in a winning manner, as it moves down the boulevard to play Lipscomb on Monday at 8 p.m. ET, 7 p.m. CT.

The Spartans, who enter the game at 4-13 overall and 0-4 in the Atlantic Sun, are led by sophomore Courtney Hawkins. The 5-4 guard, who has assumed the point guard role after an injury to junior Courtney Bradley, leads the Spartans and entered te weekend seventh in the A-Sun in scoring and currently has a 13.6 scoring average. Junior Ebony Johnson entered the weekend fourth in the conference in rebounding, averaging 7.5 per game entering Monday's game.

Entering the game at 3-14 overall and 1-3 in Atlantic Sun play, Lipscomb is coming off a 77-55 loss to East Tennessee State on Saturday.

Katie Rollins leads the Lady Bisons with a 10.8 points per game average and 5.1 rebounds per game. The team also gets 7.7 points and 4.6 rebounds from Jillian Partin.

The team is active from 3-point land, hitting 91-of-315 shots this season, led by 26 trifectas from Catie Woods.

This is the first meeting between the two teams.

Spartan Notables
• The Spartans are 8-4 all-time on Jan. 21, including a 4-2 mark on the road, last winning at Augusta State, 61-51 in 2006.
• Upstate is 4-22 all-time against teams from Tennessee and 1-12 all-time in the Volunteer State.
• Both sophomore Courtney Hawkins and junior Ebony Johnson crossed the 400-career-point mark at Belmont.
• Junior Ebony Johnson also became the 27th player in school history to reach 300 career rebounds and the 11th player in school history to block 25 career shots at Belmont.
• Sophomore Shanea Wyant passed 100 points on the season at Belmont, the first time in her career she passed the mark.
• Junior Ebony Johnson has hit two 3-pointers in each of the last two games.
• Sophomore Courtney Hawkins has hit a 3-pointer in each of the last four games and seven of the last eight.
• At 5-4, sophomore Courtney Hawkins has led the Spartans in rebounding in four games this year, including grabbing five at Belmont.
• Freshman Tiffany Whiting scored seven points against Belmont, her highest total since Dec. 6 at Georgia Tech.
• The Spartans currently have the Atlantic Sun's top single-game performances in scoring (Courtney Hawkins, 30), rebounding (Ebony Johnson, 20) and assists (Courtney Bradley, 9).
