SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Junior Leandro Osorio (Quillota, Chile/Subercaseaux) and sophomores Jack Roux (Santiago, Chile/Subercaseaux), Arnaldo Lovera (Caracas, Venezuela) each posted two singles wins and a doubles victory as the Spartans won 13 of their 15 matches during the first day of the Wofford Fall Challenge at the USC Upstate Tennis Complex. Junior Sandy Franz (Duesseldorf, Germany/Berufskolleg Hilden) won two singles matches while senior Sebastian Gonzales-Orbegoso (Lima, Peru/Cambridge College) and freshman Nicolas Ospina (Bogota, Colombia/S.E. de Manizales) each added a singles and doubles win. Sophomore Renzo Airaldi (Lima, Peru/Domingo Faustino Sarmiento) won his lone singles match of the day against Wofford.

The doubles teams of Lovera and Ospina, Roux and sophomore Javier Tori (Lima, Peru/Markham College) and Gonzales-Orbegoso and Osorio won their matches against Appalachin State before Franz, Roux, Gonzales-Orbegoso, Lovera, Osorio, Airaldi and Ospina won their singles matches against Wofford. Franz, Roux, Lovera and Osorio won their singles matches against Wofford.

The Spartans wrap up the Wofford Fall Challenge on Saturday, as they will see action at Wofford while women's competition will take place at USC Upstate.
