2008-09: Continued in his development as a basketball player to become a go-to player in the post for the Spartans... played in all 30 games for the Spartans... started 29 times... averaged 27.4 minutes per game, an increase of more than nine minutes per game over his sophomore season... led the A-Sun in with 79 blocked shots and 2.63 per game... the 79 blocked shots broke the single-season school record... currently ranks second all-time with 117, 19 shy of the all-time record... ranked second on the Spartans and 30th in the A-Sun with 9.5 points per contest... also ranked second on the Spartans and 11th in the league with 6.1 rebounds per game... shot nearly 45 percent from the floor... increased his scoring average to 10.3 points per game in A-Sun play... shot the ball better during league games as well, hitting over 47 percent of his shots from the field... totals 47 blocks in A-Sun competition... in all, ranked among the league leaders in six statistical categories... led the Spartans in scoring five times... led the squad in rebounding on 12 occasions... reached double figures a career-high 15 times... reached double figures in rebounding on four occasions... blocked three or more shots 14 times... had five strong outings to start the season... finished with five points, three blocks and 10 rebounds in the season opener at Georgia (Nov. 14)... had 12 points and seven boards at nationally-ranked Notre Dame (Nov. 16)... turned in eight points, five blocked shots, and 11 rebounds at South Carolina (Nov. 22)... had six points, two blocks and nine boards against Duquesne (Nov. 25)... tallied 13 points to go with three blocks and eight rebounds at Kennesaw State (Dec. 1)... totaled 12 points with three blocks and seven boards in the first game of the Las Vegas Classic at Saint Louis (Dec. 17)... scored nine points and grabbed seven rebounds in the 71-43 victory over Southern in the third game of the Las Vegas Classic played at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas (Dec. 22)... totaled 11 points in the 69-64 win over North Florida (Jan. 3)... turned in a career-high 22 points with nine rebounds against Jacksonville (Jan. 5)... had 13 points, two blocks and five rebounds at Stetson (Jan. 12)... was dominant with 16 points, five blocks and seven rebounds against Belmont (Jan. 17)... recorded his first collegiate double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds to go along with three blocked shots in the 73-65 victory over Campbell (Jan. 24)... had 16 points and eight rebounds at ETSU (Jan. 26)... posted 16 points, two blocks and three rebounds in leading the Spartans to a 70-59 win at Jacksonville (Feb. 1)... turned in 10 points, three blocks and eight rebounds in the 54-53 win over Stetson (Feb. 7)... tallied nine points, four blocks and nine rebounds at Belmont (Feb. 16)... finished the season strong in the final three games... had 10 points, a career-high seven blocks and seven boards in the 93-90 overtime victory over Mercer (Feb. 26)... finished with 20 points, a career-high seven blocks and six rebounds in the 80-51 victory over Kennesaw State (Feb. 28)... tallied seven points, four blocks and 10 rebounds at nationally-ranked Gonzaga (March 3)... a member of the A-Sun All-Academic team.
2007-08: Made tremendous improvement as a sophomore... played in all 30 games... a starter 25 times... averaged 18.3 minutes per game... averaged 4.9 points and 4.8 rebounds per game... led the Spartans with 25 blocked shots, 16 during A-Sun games... ranked second on the team with 55 offensive rebounds... had two or more blocked shots on six occasions... nearly had a double-double with 11 points and eight rebounds in the near upset of Akron (Nov. 16)... had 11 points and three blocked shots at UNC Greensboro (Nov. 24)... had a career-high 13 rebounds in the historic win at SMU (Dec. 18)... had 13 points at Duquesne (Dec. 30)... had six points, 10 rebounds and two blocks in the win over Kennesaw State (Feb. 1)... had four blocks to go along with 13 points and 10 rebounds in the win over Mercer (Feb. 3)... an A-Sun All-Academic selection.
2006-07: Became a key player off the bench and a crowd favorite for the Spartans... played in 21 games for the Spartans... averaged 2.1 points and 2.4 rebounds per game... tallied 13 blocks on the year... grabbed 17 offensive rebounds... averaged 8.8 minutes per game... scored six points and grabbed four rebounds against Francis Marion (Jan. 10)... finished with a season-high nine points and grabbed five rebounds against Augusta State (Jan. 13)... tallied six points and six boards against North Georgia (Jan. 17)... had three points, four rebounds and two assists at North Georgia (Jan. 31)... finished with six points and six rebounds in the regular season finale at UNC Pembroke (Feb. 25)... member of the Peach Belt Conference Presidential Academic Honor Roll.
2005-06: Sat out the year as a red-shirt... a member of the Peach Belt Conference Presidential Academic Honor Roll.
Club: Played just half of a season in a German amateur league before coming to the USC Upstate.
Personal: Born on July 20, 1984 in Bielefeld, Germany... son of Rudiger and Christiane Schneiders... has twin younger brothers, Falk and Simon... twin brothers are both 6-11 and have never played basketball... a graphic design major... hobbies include watching TV, electronics and making art... had two pieces of art work, a wire shoe and a photograph, featured in the NCAA Student-Athlete Art Exhibit at the 2009 NCAA Convention... served as an intern in the Upstate Media Relations Office during the summer.... favorite food is chicken... favorite movie is "Ronin"... likes to watch "Top Gear" on TV... favorite actor is Jean Reno... favorite band is Ben Folds... favorite season is fall... favorite sports figure is Dik Nowitzki... admires his parents the most... favorite quote is "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt."... dream job is to be an art director.
