The Spartans interrupted six straight victories with three straight defeats in an early-March weekend series at home to George Washington. As the team headed to Charleston on a Tuesday to play against Charleston Southern and The Citadel, Fincher went to Athens, Ga., to be with is ailing father, Cameron, who was in his final days of a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.
