Upon the generosity of Cleveland S. Harley, USC Upstate opened the Cleveland S. Harley Baseball Park with the first game on Feb. 1, 2004, a doubleheader sweep of Tusculum.

Mr. Harley is an institution in Spartanburg, serving the community as a successful businessman and a strong supporter of education. He sat on the Spartanburg County Board of Higher Education and was among the committee members who worked hard for the establishment of USC Upstate. He has been a strong supporter ever since.

Mr. Harley and his family have been instrumental in the growth of the University and, in particular, the athletics program. It is with tremendous gratitude and honor that we present the Cleveland S. Harley Baseball Park.
