Cross Country Signees Post Stellar Performances at State and Conference Championships
 
Christian Ritacco, of Niceville High School, and Dave Dennison, of Carlisle High School, will step foot on the USC Upstate campus as freshmen in the fall of 2009. Both are expected to be major contributors for the Upstate cross country and track and field teams as both showed why they are top recruits last weekend with second-place finishes at their respective state championships. + MORE
 
James Jackson was Upstates leading male runner during the 2008 season, garnering All-Freshman honors. He will look to put together another strong season in 2009.

Upstate Announces 2009 Cross Country Schedule
 
As 2008 marked significant improvement for both the USC Upstate men's and women's cross country teams with the women taking seventh and the men finishing eighth, the program has announced the 2009 fall schedule in which the programs will look to continue their progression in the Division I era with the addition of a strong incoming recruiting class. + MORE
 
Emily Tangwar, Joan Tangwar and Jemeli Sang will travel to Philadelphia on Thurdsay to compete in the prestigious Penn Relays.

Spartans Send Three To Compete At Penn Relays
 
Emily Tangwar, USC Upstate's top women's distance runner, will compete on Thursday in her second-straight Penn Relays Carnival, the first and oldest of relay meets. Freshmen Jemeli Sang and Joan Tangwar have also been accepted and will join her at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. + MORE
