Perrish Goggins Men's Track & Field

Men's track & field participant Perrish Goggins has been named the SunCom Spartan of the Week after leading the Spartans in their first ever track meet last weekend at the Clemson Indoor Opener.

Goggins, a freshman, finished fourth in the high jump with a height of 6 feet, 6.25 inches. His fourth-place finish was the tops among all Spartan tracksters at Clemson. He also participated on the 4 x 400 relay team in the meet.

Upstate's move to Division I precipitated the addition of the track & field programs. This is the first year of competition for the track & field programs under the direction of head coach Jimmy Stephens.
