Emily Tangwar Women's Track & Field

For the fourth time this year, Emily Tangwar has been named the SunCom Wireless Spartan of the Week. While it marks the fourth time she has received the honor, it is the first time as a track & field student-athlete. She previously earned the honor three times during the cross country season.

Tangwar earned SunCom Spartan of the Week honors after finishing seventh in both the 3,000-meter and 1-mile run at the Clemson Invitational Indoor Track & Field Meet. Tangwar competed against a strong field of runners in both events, running against individuals from the ACC, SEC and the Atlantic Sun.

Tangwar, from Eldoret, Kenya, finished second at the A-Sun Cross Country Championships in the fall and was named the A-Sun Freshman of the Year.
