Stephanie Tiedemann is in her third year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at USC Upstate. Tiedemann came to USC Upstate after serving for one year as an assistant sports outreach coordinator for HEALTHSOUTH in Las Vegas, Nev., from 2004-05. She served as the head athletic for one of 26 high schools in the program performing injury prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation. She helped supervise other athletic trainers in the program, developed relationships with local physicians and sports organizations, and coordinated the scheduling of athletic training services for athletic competitions in and around the Las Vegas area. Prior to her stint as an assistant coordinator, she was an outreach athletic trainer for HEALTHSOUTH from 2003-04. Tiedemann served as the head athletic trainer for the Las Vegas Tabagator Soccer Club from 2004-05. WHile with the team, the Tabagators won the state championship and were regional finalists. She also served as an athletic trainer for Nevada Youth Soccer. Tiedemann served in a series of internships from August 2002 to May 2003. She worked at Yale University from August 2002 to November 2002, the New York Dragons Arena Football League team from December 2002 to January 2003, Quinnipiac University from January 2003 to February 2003, and Branford (Conn.) High School from February 2003 to May 2003. Tiedemann graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training with a minor in Biology. She holds the NATABOC Certification and is an American Heart Association CPR instructor. |
