Alex Edwards Position: Media Relations Assistant Experience: 1st Year at Upstate Alma Mater: UNC Wilmington '07

Alex Edwards is in his first year serving as athletic media relations assistant at USC Upstate. He will serve as the primary contact for women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, and men's and women's track & field. He will also assist in the game operations for men's and women's basketball and softball.

Edwards graduated from East Carolina University in December 2008, where he earned a master's degree in Sport Management. He was awarded the Ernie Schwarz Memorial Scholarship, which is given annually to one graduate level student in the sport management curriculum.

Prior to coming to Upstate, Edwards served as a spring intern with the media relations department at Campbell University in Buies Creek, N.C. He primarily worked with the baseball team, while assisting with men's and women's basketball.

Edwards, who received his undergraduate degree in 2007 from UNC Wilmington, resides in Boiling Springs.
