Spartanburg, S.C. - For the first time ever, the USC upstate Athletic Department is launching tailgating at Spartans basketball games! Fans will be able to tailgate for two hours prior to the start of the games (3:00 p.m. before the women's game at 5:00 p.m. through the start of the men's game at 7:30 p.m.).
The Spartan Tailgate will be located in the parking lot in front of the main entrance to the Hodge Center, backing up to the quad. All fans, alumni, faculty/staff and students will be able to find out more information on the tailgating on www.upstatespartans.com and through their Upstate email account during the week of homecoming.
**WOMEN'S BASKETBALL vs. Lipscomb - Pink Zone 2010**
The women tip off at 5:00 p.m. against the Lady Bisons and look to continue moving up the A-Sun league table. They are currently in a tie for third and will be trying to keep their winning streak going.
This game will be the Spartans Pink Zone 2010, where the Spartans try to raise money for the Kay Yow WBCA Cancer Fund. We will sell exclusive pink and white t-shirts for $5 before and during the women's game. all proceeds go to the charity. We only have 300 shirts!
**WIN $15,000 or a Honda!**,br> Once again the Spartan fans will have an opportunity to shoot to win $15,000 in the Vic Bailey Honda Shootout! There will be two opportunities in the women's game and two in the men's game. Make sure you sign up in the lobby of the Hodge to have your chance at winning the cash or the car!
**MEN'S BASKETBALL vs. Lipscomb - Valentines Hoops 2010**
The men tip off at 7.30 p.m. as they look to finish the season 1-1 against Lipscomb at our Valentines Hoops. The night will include 300 free valentines Hoops shirts given out to fan's prior to tip-off, two chances at winning $15,000 or a car in the Vic Bailey Honda shootout and a special halftime contest called "How well do U know your Upstate Sweetheart?!" where four couples will battle to win a $50 Amex gift card sponsored by College Pointe Apartments. They will also be giving a special gift to 500 ladies in attendance that night in the lobby of the Hodge Center!
